We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our Imaging team at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes and record dosages for patients in accordance with physicians' orders.
- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce an image of an organ on photographic film.
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
- Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
- Monitor, record, and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH).
- Assist with transporting patients.
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Current ARRT (N) and/or CNMT certification.
- Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
