Job Summary

The University of California, Irvine, is seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders in patients. You will work closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure the highest level of care and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct sleep studies to diagnose and treat sleep disorders
  • Work closely with patients to understand their sleep disorders and develop effective treatment plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment
  • Prepare and maintain sleep equipment and supplies
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest sleep disorder treatments and technologies
Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Registration through BRPT and the Medical Board of California as a Polysomnographic Technologist
  • 3 or more years of direct patient care experience in sleep disorders
  • 2 or more years of experience as an RPSGT
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • 6 months working in an accredited sleep center
  • Digital and Analog equipment experience
  • Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Treatment training (BART)
