About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Hollywood Casino at Greektown. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality food and beverages in a fast-paced banquet environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for banquets and events
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food and supplies
  • Train and develop staff to ensure excellent customer service and food quality
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels
  • Collaborate with event planners, chefs, and other team members to ensure seamless execution of events
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in culinary arts or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a high-volume banquet or culinary environment
  • Proven track record of success in menu development, inventory management, and staff training
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
