Emergency Planning Coordinator

This position serves as the Emergency Planning/Exercise Coordinator for the Partner Integration Section within the Bureau of Operational Readiness and Response. The successful candidate will develop, update, and maintain ADHS public health preparedness plans and develop and execute exercises to test those plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain public health preparedness plans and exercises to test those plans.
- Coordinate with federal, county, state, and tribal officials on preparedness plans review and updates.
- Maintain documentation and ensure that appropriate plans are proofed, reviewed, approved, and integrated into agency plans and the Arizona State Emergency Response and Recovery Plan (SERRP).
- Develop and implement the state's public health emergency preparedness exercise program.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners to develop and review plans, as well as organize and execute public health preparedness plans and activities.
- Serve as a liaison and representative for the Bureau of Operational Readiness and Response (BORR) and engage with federal, state, local, and private sector agencies to ensure that the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) actively contributes to emergency preparedness efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in public health or related field with 3 years of work experience. Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Driver's license

To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will contribute to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution. In other words, you and the State will each pay 50% of the total cost of the benefit. New State employees have a 27-week wait period for contributions to begin.
