About the Role

Insight Global Healthcare is seeking a skilled Financial Coordinator to support our operations in Annapolis, MD.

Job Overview

This 6-month contract position involves working with billing/accounts receivable systems for a large healthcare system. As a Financial Coordinator, you will provide financial assistance and answer bill-related questions to patients. Your responsibilities will include deciphering account history, identifying patients without adequate health insurance, and communicating hospital payment policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage phone calls from patients, addressing their financial concerns and providing clear explanations of their account history.
  • Analyze patient data to identify those lacking sufficient health insurance coverage.
  • Maintain open communication with patients, family members, or physician practices regarding financial responsibility information.
  • Verify insurance coverage for outpatient cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patients, obtaining necessary authorizations when required.
  • Document all interactions and updates within the electronic medical record system according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to ensure accurate data entry and timely resolution of billing discrepancies.
Required Skills:
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in billing/accounts receivable systems for a large healthcare system.
  • Proficiency in using EPIC and ability to schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Compensation Details

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location considerations. This compensation package reflects the company's commitment to attracting top talent while ensuring fair remuneration for outstanding performance.
