Job Purpose:

The Project Coordinator will operate under limited supervision, managing cross-functional teams across various small to medium-sized IT initiatives by applying the principles and tools of the PMBOK Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Justification: Assist business owners, sponsors, and stakeholders in formulating business cases and project charters, which are essential for leadership to assess the value of proposed initiatives.
  • Project Planning: Create project plans, timelines, and budgets for small to medium-sized projects (typically lasting 0-6 months with simple to moderate complexity). Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, identify necessary resources, and set project milestones.
  • Procurement: Work with fairlife leadership to pinpoint resources for projects. Manage the procurement process for equipment and services, as well as IT operational expenses, in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Project Execution: Facilitate smooth project execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Automation, Safety, Production, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance. The Project Coordinator will coordinate activities, manage resources, and help resolve any issues or conflicts that arise.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate project documentation, including project plans, charters, risk and issue logs, RACI, communication plans, and project status reports. Track project progress, expenses, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification or comparable experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in coordinating or managing traditional/waterfall IT projects.
  • Some experience in managing hybrid projects that incorporate both traditional and agile methodologies is preferred.
  • Proficient in organizing resources and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Capability to lead and influence project team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing project budgets.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with computerized information systems utilized in project management and collaboration (preferred tools include Microsoft Project, MS Planner, MS Teams, MS SharePoint).

Reports To: Senior Project Manager, IT

Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
