Job Summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist I to join our team. As a Pharmacist I, you will play a critical role in providing patient-centered care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense medications according to safe practices and established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor medication therapies and provide input on therapies and regimens of individual patients.
  • Interact with providers and other healthcare professionals to monitor, review, and evaluate the effectiveness of medications.
  • Provide patient counseling on medications, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure full compliance with NYS laws and regulations.
  • Participate in departmental Q/A processes, including reporting and following up on medication incidents, reconciling medical administration records (MARs), and reporting medication adverse events and errors.
Requirements
  • 5-year degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, required.
  • Must maintain all requirements, including continuing education, as mandated by the New York State Board of Pharmacy, required.
  • Minimum one year experience as a registered pharmacist, preferred.

Pay Range

The salary range for this position is $58.00 - $75.40 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and fair market evaluation.
