Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Madison Village community in Liverpool, NY. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general grounds and lawn maintenance, as well as basic repairs to homes owned by the community. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities- Grounds and Lawn Maintenance: Ensure that community grounds are properly manicured, including tasks such as treating for weeds, raking leaves, planting flowers/shrubs, spreading mulch/woodchips/stones, trimming shrubs and hedges, cutting down and removing tree limbs as needed, and performing other lawn care services as necessary.
- Garbage Removal: Remove and dispose of garbage on community grounds, including common areas, main entrance, and from resident's sites as needed to maintain community appearance.
- Snow Removal: Perform snow removal using a snow blower, hand shovel, or a plow truck, as applicable.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain order and appearance of garage and storage areas, and keep all maintenance and grounds equipment clean and cared for.
- Health and Safety: Comply with national, state, and local health and safety laws to reduce accident occurrences and protect residents, the company, team members, and vendors.
- Seasonal Pre-Maintenance: Perform seasonal pre-maintenance service on a timely basis.
- On-Call Duties: Remain available for on-call duties as needed.
- Community Refurbishing: Participate in the refurbishing of Community Owned homes.
- Water and Sewer Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintain the community water and sewer lines.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
- A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Valid operator's license, maintenance of a good driving record at all times, and insurability under the Company's policy at all times.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, walk continuously, and access restricted spaces.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and other equipment.
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to efficiently perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to various chemical compounds.
The hourly pay range for this position is $20-$23. Compensation is based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
