Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at the State of Oregon. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining the routers, switches, modems, LANs, and WANs within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network infrastructure to support the department's operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure best business practices and security of the network
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and trends

Requirements:

  • 6 years of experience in network engineering
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Cisco switches
  • Cisco Wireless Controllers
  • Fortigate Firewalls
  • Strategic planning of LANs, WANs, and network security
  • Network operations and integration
  • Network troubleshooting and monitoring
