Medical Oncology Care Coordinator

We are seeking a seasoned and passionate RN to join our dynamic team at MultiCare Health System. As a Medical Oncology Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care, providing education, and supporting our multidisciplinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and passion for oncology care to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with the nursing team to drive quality improvement initiatives, enhance patient experience, and reduce costs
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Advocate for patients' rights and interests, ensuring they receive holistic and patient-centered care
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or obtained within five years from initial hire date; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in lieu of an education agreement
- Preferred: Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP)
- Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
- Current BLS Certification required
- ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department
- Certification in specialty area preferred
- One year of experience in acute care setting preferred
