Position Overview
A Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Conducting Nuclear Medicine Exams: Responsible for the acquisition and processing of all Nuclear Medicine examinations, including general NM scans and Nuclear Cardiology studies.
- Equipment Quality Control: Ensuring the quality control of all Nuclear Medicine apparatus.
- Radiopharmaceutical Handling: Safely managing all diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
- Emergency Call Duties: Available for weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call for after-hours emergencies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to all NRC and NJDEP regulations concerning radiation safety.
Qualifications
Experience: Completion of clinical training through a Nuclear Medicine training program or college requirements.
Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine program.
Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS certification, ARRT or CNMT certification, and a valid NJ Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
Special Requirements: Basic Life Support certification, availability for Monday through Friday as needed with on-call responsibilities.
