Job Summary:
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project teams, you'll be responsible for designing building electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design electrical systems, including lighting, power, life safety, and security systems.
• Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
• Lead project teams and serve as the primary contact for the discipline with clients.
• Perform QA/QC of design work and prepare detailed design documents.
• Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines.
• Assist in the procurement of new work, including developing client relations and participating in project interviews.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 12 years of design experience.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a Master's Degree preferred.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states.
• LEED certification or experience is a plus.
• Experience with laboratories/medical facilities design is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
• Excellent work ethic and attitude.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
