Position Overview
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the role of Vice Chancellor for Student Enrollment Strategy. This pivotal position will be responsible for the strategic oversight and enhancement of enrollment initiatives across the university.
SIUE is a vibrant metropolitan institution that caters to a diverse population of over 12,000 students. The Edwardsville campus is set within a picturesque landscape of 2,660 acres, offering a unique educational environment. The university is recognized for its commitment to providing high-quality, affordable education, preparing students for meaningful careers and impactful lives.
Key Responsibilities
The Vice Chancellor for Student Enrollment Strategy will report directly to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The successful candidate will:
- Lead the Enrollment Management division, overseeing a team of over 90 professionals across various departments including admissions, financial aid, and academic services.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment strategy aimed at increasing student diversity and success.
- Collaborate with academic units and administrative leaders to align enrollment goals with the university's strategic objectives.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to assess and enhance enrollment practices, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.
- Foster partnerships with external organizations to create pathways for prospective students.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A master's degree in a relevant field; a doctoral degree is preferred.
- A minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience in enrollment management or related areas.
- A proven track record of developing and executing successful enrollment strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
