Job Description

This role is a key player in the security efforts of Red Ventures, working closely with development teams, product managers, and enterprise teams to ensure the security of the company's brands and products.

The Security Operations Engineer will be responsible for identifying and assessing security risks, advising technical teams on mitigation strategies, and designing and implementing detections and controls to defend against well-documented and emerging threats.

Additionally, the engineer will work with development teams and non-technical personnel to translate complex security requirements into positive security outcomes, lead initiatives to address multiple security vulnerabilities or gaps, and use knowledge of web application technologies to assess webpages, APIs, and SaaS services for known vulnerabilities and emerging adversary TTPs.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of practical experience in Cyber Security or a related field, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure/networking, related security controls, tools, and best practices. Experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling, EDR platforms, and remediating or coordinating the remediation of common security vulnerabilities is also required.

The Security Operations Engineer will be a key member of the security team, working closely with other teams to ensure the security of Red Ventures' brands and products.
