Key Responsibilities- Oversee and expand a team dedicated to detailed process engineering throughout the development and construction phases of projects.
- Provide expert technical assistance to the operations team for projects that are operational.
- Evaluate current processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement in efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, and devise strategies for process optimization.
- Collaborate with procurement specialists to assess and select equipment and components that meet project specifications and performance standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety evaluations for processes and equipment, implementing necessary safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, technical specifications, and design modifications.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical process engineering, ideally within industrial or municipal wastewater treatment.
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and materials science.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering analysis tools.
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, COMSOL) is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to evolving business needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety protocols relevant to mechanical systems and processes.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure is preferred.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience in industrial-scale resource recovery, anaerobic digestion, nutrient removal, and RNG facilities.
- This position is based in Southern NH, with potential for hybrid or remote work arrangements depending on experience.
- Travel requirements typically involve 25% of the time, with potential increases up to 50% in certain months.
