We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator II to join our team at Southland Industries. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the public.
Key Responsibilities- Tour and inspect job sites to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Document safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement safety programs and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents, and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Stay up-to-date with changing safety regulations and best practices.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a safety role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental Applied Sciences, or related field.
- CHST or ASP certification preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications required.
- OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, and OSHA 40hr training required.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
