As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective support to our users, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support for iSeries applications and tape backups, utilizing our Ticketing System (Service-Now) to manage and resolve issues.
  • Perform iSeries IPL maintenance on a monthly basis, ensuring seamless system operation.
  • Organize and maintain accurate records of onsite and offsite tape logs, adhering to daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly schedules.
  • Manage offsite tape storage with Iron Mountain, ensuring secure and efficient data storage.
  • Monitor and update IBM Tape Libraries and Tape Inventory, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Conduct data center alarm monitoring, including water detection, UPS, and fire suppression systems.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an IBM iSeries administrator or operator.
  • Proficiency in working with IBM Green Screen.
  • Knowledge of tape library backup systems and data restoration.
  • Help desk level 1 experience.
  • Ticketing system experience.
  • Ability to manage and escalate trouble tickets as needed.
  • Detailed inventory and organizational skills.
