About the Job: We are seeking a Senior Electro-Optical Sensor Specialist to join our team at Blue Origin in Washington. This role will focus on the development of lidar systems for autonomous navigation and other applications for our spacecraft.

  • Design, develop, test, and qualify lidar sensor systems for autonomous spacecraft navigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of the development efforts.

Responsibilities: Develop lidar product evolution plans and strategies, and execute projects for continuous improvement of our lidar systems, and oversee their infusion into our spacecraft.

Requirements: A Ph.D. in Physics, Aerospace Engineering with a focus on laser or other electro-optical sensors/instruments, or equivalent experience, and a strong background in electro-optical system development - lidar system design and analysis, free-space optical principles, and experience in electro-optical system modeling and simulation.

Compensation: The estimated salary range for this role is $198,993.00-$278,590.20 per year, based on location and experience.
