About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at KIK Consumer Products, Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring the success of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Operational Performance: Develop and implement strategies to improve safety, quality, cost, and production metrics, ensuring budget goals are met or exceeded.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive key productivity initiatives, including process improvement, technology transfer, and yield enhancement.
  • Oversee Employee Relations and Safety: Develop and implement programs to promote positive employee relations, safety, and communications, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for waste reduction, cost savings, and productivity improvement through good manufacturing practices.
  • Ensure Operational Metrics: Oversee and ensure the success of all operational and maintenance metrics, including delivery, productivity improvement, material inventory, and quality improvement.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate daily with production planning and counterparts regarding safety, quality, scheduling, delivery, workload capacity, and staffing issues.
  • Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze equipment performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive rapid problem-solving and root cause analysis from the production floor.
  • Manage and Evaluate Performance: Manage and evaluate the performance of individual team members, providing mentoring and development opportunities to enhance technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Cost Reduction and Quality Improvement: Achieve cost reduction targets, reduce waste, improve quality, and identify and resolve ergonomic issues.
  • EH&S Hazards and Controls: Understand and identify EH&S hazards, risks, and controls of operations and activities at the site.
  • Standardized Work: Drive the creation and improvement of standardized work processes.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing facility with lean manufacturing practices. Engineering degree preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of packaging or co-packaging and chemical manufacturing, thorough understanding of manufacturing plant operations, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with integrated/computerized manufacturing systems, JDE experience preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent organizational, analytical, investigation, problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to work independently and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
