Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pet Supplies Plus team as an Assistant Store Team Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of store operations, promoting team member engagement and morale, and driving sales growth through exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading retail teams and driving sales growth through exceptional customer service and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include assisting in the management of store operations, adhering to operational policies and procedures, and promoting team member engagement and morale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Assist in managing store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to operational policies and procedures.
  • Team Engagement: Promote team member engagement and morale by understanding individual motivation and needs, recognizing and rewarding successful performance, and helping them achieve career goals.
  • Sales Growth: Support Store Team Leader in analyzing sales results and developing plans to maximize sales and productivity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience leading a retail team.
  • A 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge and good communication skills.
  • The ability to operate all equipment, including a forklift, and climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 plus pounds.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and validated selection test.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
