Job Overview
The Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering direct patient care utilizing the nursing process during designated work periods. They collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to attain outcomes aligned with the comprehensive care plan. The RN engages in initiatives aimed at achieving clinical, financial, and organizational objectives.
Education Requirements: Associate degree from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
Experience Requirements: For specialized areas, relevant experience and additional qualifications may be necessary.
Skills and Competencies: Understanding of the nursing process, along with social, behavioral, and biological sciences typically acquired through an accredited nursing program. Capable of delivering age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care to the patient population served. Proficient in data analysis, information synthesis, and making informed decisions regarding patient care.
Licenses/Certifications: Massachusetts RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
