Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist

Mentor South Bay is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to individuals and families in need of mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Examine individuals to determine their physical and mental condition, using standard medical procedures and protocols.
- Consult with outside agencies, referral sources, and other professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, assessments, treatment plans, and session notes.
- Order laboratory and diagnostic tests, evaluate data, and develop treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Provide psychotherapeutic methods and medications to treat patients, under the guidance of a psychiatrist.
- Manage medication for individuals served in the clinic, ensuring safe and effective treatment.
- Respond to emergencies and maintain contact with the clinic and individuals served, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all therapy guidelines, codes of conduct, and Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 119, Section 51A (Mandated Reporter).
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited National League of Nursing graduate school.
- Current registration by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
- Eligibility for certification as a Clinical Specialist in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing by the American Nurses Association.
This role requires sedentary work, with occasional walking and standing. The ability to lift up to 10 pounds is necessary.
