Job Summary

Karya Property Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee the physical property, general maintenance repairs, apartment make-ready, preventative maintenance, and construction/rehabilitation projects at our Caden at Lakeside property.

This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package based on experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and facilities management, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance on equipment and units to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement safety and skills training programs for maintenance staff to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and develop maintenance plans to address them.
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, allocating work and resources to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and equipment, replenishing as needed to ensure optimal maintenance operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Lead or related role.
  • HVAC and EPA certification required.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, and reach above shoulders.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or evenings on a rotating schedule.
