Production Control Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Control Specialist to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our Production Control organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a controlled flow of materials and services to meet contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and coordinate program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet contract requirements
- Release purchase requisitions to procure materials based on MRP, master production schedule, and inventory position
- Prepare work order releases based on a master production schedule, shop capacity, and program priorities
- Provide status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed
- Work with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build
- Report on and troubleshoot MRP system generated exceptions and take corrective actions
- Conduct inventory checks and reconcile the system
- Perform movement of material to and from the warehouse, factory, pack/ship, and/or other areas as needed
- Ensure materials compliance through adherence to company rules, policies, guidelines, and audits applicable to the site
- Evaluate and coordinate program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet contractual requirements
Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using SAP/PRISM based MRP systems
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or systems
- Experience with Planning and Production Control fundamentals including MRP, Inventory Management, Logistics, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, and Lean Manufacturing
- Lean and Process Improvement (i.e. Six Sigma) concepts to improve internal departmental, factory, and cross-functional processes
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Rapid Response Kinaxis, Business Warehouse
- Experience with MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Microsoft Access, Visio

Clearance Information:
This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
