Elevate your career as a Senior Facilities Project Manager with Another Source, where you'll oversee the administration of both educational facilities maintenance and small capital project programs for our clients in California Higher Education.

This role involves working as an extension of staff for clients under contract, primarily within California Higher Education, with Another Source. You will collaborate with facilities management staff, campus and district administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project development and execution from inception to completion.

Project Development and Planning:

  • Collaborate with campus staff, administrators, and private firms to develop projects from early planning and design stages.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of Facilities Management, including HVAC systems, Security Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Elevators, and other systems essential for the efficient operation of educational facilities.

Project Management:

  • Manage all aspects of projects prior to the bid announcement, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Oversee the bid process and actively participate in bid award through project completion and occupation.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Cost Management:

  • Manage project costs, including soft costs, and ensure financial efficiency.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.

Schedule Management:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Report on project progress, including percentage completion and any deviations from the plan.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including campus staff, contractors, and administrators.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all projects adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure project quality and compliance.
  • Lead and mentor project teams and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring they meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors and contractors.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field. Demonstrated experience in a facilities management role within a California Educational Environment may be considered in lieu of a degree. Knowledge of public contract code, education code desired. Familiar with SimpleK Software for managing Keys, Master Key Systems.
