Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at South Shore Health. As a RN on our Med-Surg unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process.
  • Administer medications, complete medication reconciliation, and document narcotic withdrawal and administration.
  • Develop, discuss, and communicate a prioritized problem list/plan of care for each patient.
  • Assess, reassess, and document patient care, including pain management and patient/family teaching needs.
  • Foster a culture of safety through personal ownership and commitment to a safe environment.
  • Utilize technological solutions to work processes and practices.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards relevant to the position.
  • Convey respect for values, preferences, and expressed needs of the patient and family.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification.
Work Schedule

24hrs/week, 3pm-11:30pm x3/week, every third weekend, every other holiday.
