Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emerson 4Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at South Shore Health. As a Registered Nurse on our GYN Emerson 4 unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care to patients through the use of the nursing process.
  • Develop, discuss, and communicate a prioritized problem list/plan of care for each patient.
  • Assess, evaluate, and update individualized plans of care for patients and document outcomes.
  • Initiate admission assessments within 8 hours of admissions, identify and document patient/family/significant other teaching needs upon admission and throughout hospitalization.
  • Continues assessment/reassessment and identifies care needs within established nursing practice.
  • Document all patient care following the department of nursing policy, unit-based standards, disease processes, and nurse-sensitive indicators.
  • Foster a culture of safety through personal ownership and commitment to a safe environment.
  • Comply with current CDC hand hygiene guidelines through proper handwashing and adhere to universal precautions.
  • Ensure the environment meets regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Understand and demonstrate individual roles and responsibilities in the event of hospital codes/emergency preparedness.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred.
  • RN - Registered Nurse license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required.
Work Schedule:

36 hours per week, 7pm-7:30am, rotating weekends, every-other holiday.
