Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage closely with Compliance Monitoring to conduct internal compliance evaluations and risk assessments, collaborating with relevant Compliance, Regulatory, and other teams to prepare necessary procedural documentation for external audits or examinations.
  • Develop and implement systems to manage the corporate policy library, ensuring documentation adheres to standardized categories and templates, assisting policy owners in drafting, guiding policies through initial approvals, coordinating annual reviews, and maintaining the policy document library in line with retention schedules.
  • Establish processes to transition the U.S. record retention schedule to a global framework, setting goals to enhance the maturity of the information governance program.
  • Oversee and coordinate the company’s Privacy and Compliance Champions program in partnership with the Privacy Program Director, including the creation of a Charter outlining Roles & Responsibilities and structuring monthly team meetings and initiatives.
  • Design and maintain processes for hotline and whistleblower administration, defining and reporting on key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) with the support of the compliance manager.
  • Assist the Chief Privacy Officer and Compliance Governance Lead in refining training objectives and criteria, leveraging the compliance training team to manage the learning platform and reporting processes.
  • Define and document components of the compliance governance framework; report quarterly on associated KRIs and KPIs, and develop presentation materials for departmental, ERMC, and Board of Directors updates.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups, committees, or governance bodies to support compliance governance processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in a managerial role or leading compliance programs.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in managing compliance governance initiatives, with a proven track record in defining and overseeing governance activities and reporting on KRIs and KPIs.
  • 10+ years of experience in compliance governance responsibilities, including risk assessments, hotline management, policy administration, information governance, and corporate training program management.
  • 10+ years of experience in managing compliance-related legislative and regulatory change processes, from communication to implementation verification.
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. and global compliance laws and regulations (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act, OFAC regulations, SOX, Consumer Protection Act) and key regulatory guidance.
  • Strong understanding of cross-industry best practices for corporate compliance and ethics, with engagement in compliance associations.
  • Experience in managing regulatory inquiries and examinations, overseeing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization to promote compliance awareness and best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage projects effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Expertise in compliance and change management practices, with a strong grasp of risk management principles.
  • Ability to independently set objectives and manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in overseeing corporate training programs and delivering compliance training materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop strategies for operational challenges.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding diverse teams through complex initiatives.
  • Travel Required: 5%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Compliance certifications such as CCEP, CCEP-I, or a Master's in Corporate Compliance; information governance certifications like IGP.
  • Significant project leadership experience or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • 10+ years of experience in a U.S. regulated financial services environment, particularly in insurance.
