About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Production Associate to join our team at E. A. Sween Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products are produced efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Quality: Execute assigned food safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet SQF requirements, regulatory requirements, and customers' expectations.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs): Adhere to established GMPs to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Product Inspection: Inspect raw materials for quality and communicate any deviations to the production team.
  • Reject Pulling: Pull off rejected products from the discharge belt of the machine in a timely manner.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment, including slicing machines, conveyor belts, and packaging machinery.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with production team members to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in lean activities and contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 30 lbs. occasionally and work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to work with production team members and management.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Maintain good attendance and punctuality records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food-Related Experience: Previous experience in a food-related production or manufacturing environment.
  • Assembly Line Experience: Experience working on an assembly line or in a production environment.
