The FSQA Specialist will be a key member of our team-oriented FSQA process, responsible for protecting our food by conducting vendor approval assessments, desktop audits, collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and filing vendor documentation. They will also contribute to business initiatives and projects with cross-functional teams.

They will also have a strong understanding of our Food Safety and Quality Objectives and Global Food Safety and Quality Policy.

The FSQA Specialist will verify that all applicable Aspire Bakeries, GFSI, Regulatory, and customer expectations are met relating to vendor approval and management. They will ensure that our foods meet our standards and specifications through the use of qualified vendors.

The FSQA Specialist will work closely with all Vendors, FSQA Regulatory, R&D, Central Service Procurement, and Bakery teams to maintain accurate and current vendor records. They will communicate any food safety or quality concerns and understand food safety and preventative controls as it relates to the vendor management program.

The FSQA Specialist will participate in and potentially lead FSQA Vendor Management training and report food safety and quality non-conformances and deviations to the FSQA Manager. They will also place food on hold physically and in SAP for further evaluation.

Post-secondary education in Food Science, Microbiology, or Food Chemistry or experience in the food industry is preferred. HACCP, PCQI, and Food Fraud training is also preferred. Proficient computer skills, including experience in MS Outlook and Excel, are required. SAP knowledge is helpful, and good English oral and written communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
