Key Responsibilities
- Engage with current and prospective clients to build strong relationships and gather essential information for responding to requests for quotations (RFQs) and bid proposals.
- Schedule and conduct business meetings with potential clients, either in person or via phone.
- Analyze clients' technical project scopes and devise solutions by tailoring products, equipment, and services to meet project needs.
- Examine project technical documentation and identify exceptions and deviations to ensure alignment with the company's capabilities.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Projects, Operations, and Service teams to assess project costs and create comprehensive bid packages and quotations.
- Generate detailed project cost estimates, highlighting anticipated expenses and profit margins.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain written bids, quotes, and pricing for goods and services.
- Maintain a log of all quotations and ensure follow-up in accordance with established practices.
- Submit bids and quotations to clients within specified deadlines.
- Compile sales reports detailing completed activities and relevant project updates.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a four-year college degree is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a project manager or estimator in the oil and gas sector or a similar industry, with a minimum of $5,000,000 in annual sales.
