We are a leading healthcare technology company that is revolutionizing the industry with cutting-edge AI solutions. Our mission is to modernize and streamline processes in healthcare, and we are seeking an experienced Director of Artificial Intelligence to lead our AI team.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI technologies, including NLP, LLMs, and Generative AI, and a strong background in healthcare-related AI applications. They will oversee the entire AI lifecycle, from concept to deployment, and provide strategic direction to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the AI team to build state-of-the-art AI models, focusing on NLP and LLMs for healthcare use cases.
  • Design and implement innovative proof-of-concepts (POCs) that solve real-world challenges in healthcare, specifically around revenue cycle management.
  • Develop, train, and fine-tune AI models, ensuring scalability and robustness in real-world applications.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deploy models at scale across enterprise-level systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with leadership, product, and technical teams to align AI strategy with business goals and provide actionable insights.
  • Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of advancements in AI, particularly in Generative AI, NLP, and LLMs, and apply them to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Implement best practices in AI and data science, ensuring ethical AI use and data privacy.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Machine Learning, with a focus on NLP, LLMs, and Generative AI.
  • Proven experience in healthcare or related industries is strongly preferred.
  • Strong background in applied research and engineering, with a demonstrated ability to lead projects from R&D to deployment.
  • Experience in large-scale system deployment of AI models in enterprise settings.
  • Expertise in building and optimizing POCs, with hands-on experience in training and fine-tuning AI models.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other relevant ML frameworks and libraries.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare domain, including the regulatory landscape (e.g., HIPAA) and data privacy standards.
  • A PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
