Noblis is seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team in Reston, VA. As a postdoctoral fellow, you will work closely with our subject matter experts and scientists to lead and conduct research in various areas, including AI, machine learning, and data science.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, design, and develop complex algorithms for various technology and mission domains.
- Advance responsible AI strategies, develop techniques to assess model robustness, test and counter bias, and determine system risk.
- Propose, design, and build AI systems for computer vision, complex simulation, and/or generative content purposes across various use cases.
- Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, statistics, information/data sciences, or a related field, granted in the last 5 years.
- Extensive experience and/or education in one or more of the following areas: deep learning algorithms and large language models (LLMs), model algorithm selection and development, natural language processing, multimedia processing and recognition, and/or computer vision.
- A strong publication record and a high interest in publishing new research papers.
- Ability to explain deep technical concepts to non-experts.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to propose and win independent research funding is a plus.
- A high degree of ethical and scientific standards.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Professional affiliation with the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).
