Job Summary

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is seeking a highly skilled Auditor to join our team. As an Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting independent and objective audits of the Intelligence Community and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of programs and operations, and to reduce fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits and evaluations of IC and ODNI programs to determine compliance with regulations, adequacy of internal controls, and achievement of program objectives.
  • Develop and implement audit and evaluation plans, including determining the purpose, scope, and methodology.
  • Apply Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) Quality Standards for Inspection and Evaluation.
  • Prepare and present audit and evaluation results, including translating findings into specific, actionable recommendations for improvements to programs, systems, and activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure work performed meets quality standards and requirements.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen residing in the United States.
  • Appointment is subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • A two-year trial period is required for all new permanent appointments to the ODNI.
Qualifications
  • Applicant should have at least 3 years of relevant experience performing complex audits, inspections, reviews, or evaluations and performing duties that matches the requirements described above.
  • Desired qualifications include an undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study or a combination of education and relevant experience, and OIG relevant professional certifications.
