Summer Associate Internship

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Associate to join our Integrated Strategic Engagement team. As a Summer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our senior executive leadership team to drive strategic engagement and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Support Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with leadership and various partners to support the priorities of Navy Federal's senior executive leadership team, including operational, strategic, and efficiency management.
- Champion Change and Initiatives: Champion and challenge change, initiatives, and projects to drive business growth and improvement.
- Develop Key Relationships: Develop and strengthen key internal and external relationships to support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Monitor and Maintain Project Schedule: Monitor and maintain project/program schedule, documentation, and progress, and provide regular status updates.
- Escalate Project Issues: Appropriately escalate project issues to leadership for resolution.
- Collaborate with Staff: Collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments.
- Identify Process Improvements: Identify and recommend process improvements to leadership.
- Conduct Research: Conduct research for preparation of reference material.
- Create Foundational Documents: Create, update, and maintain foundational documents and executive summaries/briefs.
- Manage SharePoint Content: Create and maintain CoS SharePoint content and perform access updates.
- Communicate Effectively: Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication of material shared by CoS Office.
- Participate in Program Development: Participate in planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing programs.
- Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Project Management, Communications, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or other related field.
- Project Management Experience: Familiarity with project/program management processes and methodologies.
- Team Collaboration: Exposure to working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects.
- Communication Skills: Ability to compile, organize, and present information clearly and concisely.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Initiative and Judgment: Effective skills exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions.
- Organizational Skills: Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Communication Style: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to compose correspondence that adheres to grammar and Navy Federal writing style and standards.
- Prioritization: Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals with a high degree of accuracy.
- Research and Documentation: Experience in researching, compiling, and documenting data, business processes, and workflow.
- Process Capturing: Basic skills in capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms.
- Analytical Thinking: Basic analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results, or relationships.
