Position Overview
We are currently seeking a full-time remote Project Management Specialist. Candidates must hold a current DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive proactive efforts to meet project objectives.
- Serve as a technical liaison with external vendors.
- Assist in the proposal development process and collaborate with the Pricing Department as necessary.
- Oversee all aspects of project budgeting.
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance Programs for services and products.
- Create Staffing Plans, including skill and labor requirements, to support contract operations.
- May involve recruiting, interviewing, and hiring personnel.
- Manage smaller technical projects or specific segments of larger technical programs in alignment with contract stipulations and company policies.
- Direct and supervise all resources involved in project assignments and activities.
- Guide the technical direction of projects throughout design, implementation, and testing phases.
- Responsible for acquiring follow-on business related to assigned projects and supporting new business development through leading smaller proposals or assisting with larger ones.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all aspects of assigned projects.
- Take projects from initial concept through to final execution.
- Engage with all stakeholders impacted by the project, including end users and client services.
- Define project scope and objectives clearly.
- Develop comprehensive work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource allocations, and status updates.
- Conduct project meetings and manage project tracking and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and review project deliverables.
- Oversee the integration of vendor tasks and monitor vendor deliverables.
- Provide technical and analytical support to the project team.
- Identify and implement solutions to project-related challenges.
- Preferred experience in disciplines such as Electronic Security Systems (ESS) or managing information systems in an ATO environment, including relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance is mandatory.
- Experience in supervising, coordinating, and providing leadership to assigned staff.
- Direct supervision of technical professionals and entry-level staff.
- Ability to estimate staffing needs, assign tasks, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6-8 years of experience.
- A minimum of 3 years in a related role is required.
- Proficiency in utilizing various technologies relevant to the position.
Travel Requirements
- Possession of an active passport.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally.
- Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
Work Environment
Cambridge International Systems adheres to vaccination requirements for Temporary Duty Station (TDY) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) assignments. If the position necessitates OCONUS travel, please refer to applicable vaccination requirements.
