About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team as a Central Access and Disposition Nurse. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient behavioral health throughput system-wide, from admission to discharge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise on behavioral and medical needs of behavioral health patients, identifying placement barriers and recommending most appropriate treatment settings.
  • Work closely with MGB BMH leadership to deliver performance and efficiency metrics, tracking, analyzing, and presenting data to demonstrate progress and areas for improvement.
  • Lead change management efforts, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure active engagement and commitment to system-focused culture.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders system-wide to monitor, compile, analyze, prepare, and report data and outcomes related to central access and central disposition planning.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts, required.
  • 5 years inpatient psychiatry unit and/or emergency department experience required.
  • 5-year Nurse leader experience required, such as flow coordinator, access nurse, bed control, supervisor in a psychiatric setting, inpatient behavioral health charge nurse or clinical coordinator.
