Job Summary

Optomec is seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee and manage the manufacture of Aerosol Jet print systems at our partners around the world. This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of vendor quality management and project management principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the manufacture of Aerosol Jet print systems at our partners around the world.
  • Work closely with project engineers throughout the system development process and own the production of equipment after release.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to interact with development engineers and ensure that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Conduct comprehensive vendor quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  • Develop build documentation either individually or in concert with vendors to ensure that builds are complete and defect-free.
  • Oversee vendor contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met, and managing relationships to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally to vendor locations, including Singapore, China, and Malaysia.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of vendor-related experience.
  • Proven experience in supplier quality management, with a strong background in vendor quality audits and internal quality procedures.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and BOM management.
  • Strong understanding of vendor contracts and project management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
