About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Augusta University. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security infrastructure to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and implementation of network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to ensure the security of our network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and servers.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security risks.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the security of our systems and data, including incident response and disaster recovery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, information assurance, or cybersecurity.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of network security principles and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and remediate security risks.
