Position Summary

This role serves as the technical authority for the deployment and upkeep of automated warehouse systems while overseeing a team of maintenance personnel dedicated to sustaining these systems and overall building operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the rollout and upkeep of new warehouse technologies and equipment.
  • Track key performance metrics and assess the performance of new technologies against established expectations.
  • Guarantee that automated warehouse systems are consistently operational and well-maintained.
  • Implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance strategy for all automation components, conveyors, and associated systems.
  • Guide, mentor, and manage a team of staff members.
  • Procure and manage supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Educate direct reports and other warehouse personnel on the operation of automated warehouse systems.
  • Plan and supervise all maintenance and repair activities, developing an effective response system for emergency repairs.
  • Adapt to varying hours and shifts as necessary to support operational needs.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience, preferably in electrical engineering.
  • Preferred certifications include:
    • OSHA training/certification
    • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
    • Certified Technical Professional (CTP)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols including electrical safety, fire safety, and confined space regulations.
Physical Requirements
  • This position involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • May require occasional lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
