Medical Assistant II Team Lead Physician Practice

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II Team Lead to join our Physician Practice team. As a Medical Assistant II Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, customer service, and overseeing clinical staff in-baskets and patient requests.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining medical histories, administering vaccines and medications, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers via phone, electronic, and in-person interactions.
- Monitor clinical staff in-baskets and patient requests to ensure timely and accurate services.
- Assist with clinical scheduling and provide guidance to team members on assignments and priorities.
- Oversee and update POCT, patient care processes, protocols, and log books; collaborate with the Clinical Educator on clinic process improvement plans.
- Review and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and medication refills.
- Enter patient information into the electronic medical records system and use systems to produce and conduct referrals, prior authorizations, medication research, and other related duties.
- Complete all quality audit measures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certificate in Medical Assisting (2 years) or Associate's degree in Medical Assisting (4 years) preferred.
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) certification required.
- American Heart Association certification required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
