Medical Assistant II Team Lead Physician Practice

At Franciscan Health, we're seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II Team Lead to join our team in the Physician Practice. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including rooming patients, taking vitals, and administering medications.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers via phone, electronic, and in-person interactions.
  • Monitor clinical staff in-baskets and patient requests to deliver timely and accurate services.
  • Assist with clinical scheduling and provide guidance to team members on assignments and priorities.
  • Oversee and update POCT, patient care processes, protocols, and log books.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Educator on clinic process improvement plans.
  • Review and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and medication refills.
  • Enter patient information into the electronic medical records system and use systems to produce and conduct referrals, prior authorizations, medication research, and other related duties.
  • Complete all quality audit measures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Certificate in Medical Assisting (2 years) or Associate's degree in Medical Assisting (4 years)
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) certification
  • American Heart Association certification
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
