Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Student Rights & Responsibilities will play a key role in the Student Conduct Office, assisting the Director and Associate Director in day-to-day functions. This position is responsible for coordinating conduct process administrative tasks, managing investigations, and addressing student issues on an individual basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate conduct process administrative tasks
  • Manage investigations and student issues
  • Collaborate with departments within Student and Academic Affairs
  • Build relationships with faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumni
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Higher Education, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of professional work experience in Student Conduct, Residence Life, or a field with related job functions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience investigating Title IX and other alleged misconduct
  • Experience using Maxient conduct software
  • Training from Association of Student Conduct Administrators at the Gehring Academy (foundations track)
  • Proficient in computer software programs including those in the Microsoft Office group, Adobe Acrobat, and the University's Peoplesoft (SIS) software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to address the needs of students and staff and promote a positive student culture
  • Proven ability to work closely with faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumni
  • Understanding of and experience working with conduct processes including a working knowledge of FERPA
  • Ability to speak and write in more than one language
