The successful candidate will oversee process support for the Caster within the Steelmaking facility, guiding shift teams to produce high-quality slabs in accordance with the latest industry standards and operational goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in an engineering role related to casting processes
  • Fundamental technical understanding of Caster operations
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced technical expertise in Caster operations
  • Knowledge of Melt Shop processes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess and monitor caster performance, including production, cost, and quality metrics; implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Enhance Caster productivity and efficiency by applying industry best practices
  • Work closely with the Technology team to conduct product trials and provide process insights for improvement initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and other operational teams within the steelmaking facility
  • Develop and revise operational guidelines for caster processes; facilitate related safety reviews
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues affecting slab quality
  • Coordinate slab scarfing operations with external contractors
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations

  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for incidents and operational challenges
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
