Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ArcelorMittal's Calvert facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Cold Rolling Mill by troubleshooting and maintaining industrial process automation systems, motor control systems, and low- and medium-voltage distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and maintain industrial process automation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
- Perform maintenance and repairs on motor control systems, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control centers
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of low- and medium-voltage distribution systems, including switchgear and transformers
- Collaborate with other maintenance and production personnel to identify and resolve production disturbances
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to increase quality and efficiency of the production process
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience with electrical maintenance in an industrial environment, preferably in a steel mill
- Competencies in multiple programming platforms, including ladder logic, function block, and textual/statement list logic
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience with boilers, acid regeneration, air compressors, and cooling circuits
- Knowledge of X-Ray measurement systems, power feeding and distribution systems, motors and drives, and technological functions
