Position Overview

The Aerospace Corporation is in search of a Security Operations Analyst III/IV. As a vital member of the Personnel Security team, you will oversee the processing of incoming visit authorization requests (VARs) and the formulation of access lists for significant classified and unclassified gatherings. Your role will be crucial in supporting the organization to fulfill mission objectives by ensuring that all visitors are appropriately cleared. You will provide on-site assistance for all security-related activities in alignment with corporate and governmental policies and directives.

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time role requiring 100% on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate DoD and SCI visits in compliance with government regulations.
  • Input incoming visitor data into the Security Information Management System (SIMS).
  • Authenticate security clearances of visiting personnel through Scattered Castles.
  • Offer on-site support for meetings and conferences by issuing identification badges to attendees.
  • Serve as a backup for the outgoing visitor control representative by assisting with outgoing VARs.
  • Conduct courier-related tasks, including wrapping, receipting, and transporting classified materials.
  • Assist with random inspections of packages for personnel entering and exiting the facility.
  • Support the delivery and collection of secure crates for classified relocations between buildings.
  • Perform various clerical and administrative duties within the Security and Safety Directorate.

Qualifications for Success

Minimum requirements for the Security Operations Analyst III include:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, accompanied by 5 years of relevant experience.
  • A current TS/SCI clearance. U.S. citizenship is mandatory to obtain a security clearance.
  • Proficiency in handling classified and Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) information.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Security Information Management System (SIMS).
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of DISS and Scattered Castles databases.
  • A background in COMSEC.
