This position involves providing critical support for intricate computer network exploitation and defensive strategies, which include deterring, identifying, and investigating cyber intrusions, as well as mitigating vulnerabilities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor network traffic for security incidents and events utilizing a variety of cybersecurity tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEMs).
  • Analyze and respond to security alerts to identify and counteract potential cyber threats.
  • Conduct real-time incident investigations and generate comprehensive incident response reports.
  • Identify and assess malicious activities, evaluate risks, and implement strategies to safeguard against cyber-attacks.
  • Perform event correlation using information gathered from multiple sources to enhance situational awareness.
  • Conduct threat intelligence analysis and remain informed on the latest cyber threat landscape relevant to national defense.
  • Develop and advocate for best practices in information security across the organization.
  • Execute periodic risk assessments utilizing Situational Awareness Reports (SAR).
  • Review and triage Cyber Task Orders to pinpoint potential vulnerabilities and report findings as necessary.
  • Translate orders into actionable tasks and monitor their progress for reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with enterprise-wide cyber defense teams to validate network alerts and coordinate appropriate responses.
  • Provide weekly summary reports detailing network events and activities pertinent to cyber defense practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 5 years in a Defensive Cyber Operations role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, computer networking security, and Zero Trust Architecture/implementation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • CySA+, CBROPS, CFR, FITSP-O, GCIA, GDSA, GICSP, GCFA

Optional Certifications:
  • CNDSP, CISSP, CEH, GFACT, GISF, Cloud+, GCED, PenTest, CompTIA Security+
