This position entails providing expertise in sophisticated computer network defense and exploitation strategies, which include preventing, detecting, and investigating cyber intrusions while mitigating vulnerabilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network activities for security incidents and events utilizing various cybersecurity technologies (e.g., firewalls, SIEMs).
  • Analyze and respond to security alerts to identify and counteract potential cyber threats.
  • Conduct immediate incident investigations and prepare comprehensive incident response documentation.
  • Identify and evaluate malicious activities, assess associated risks, and implement defensive measures against cyber threats.
  • Perform event correlation using data collected from diverse sources to achieve situational awareness.
  • Engage in threat intelligence analysis and remain informed on the evolving cyber threat landscape relevant to national defense.
  • Establish and advocate for best practices in information security across the organization.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments utilizing Situational Awareness Reports (SAR).
  • Review and prioritize Cyber Task Orders to pinpoint potential vulnerabilities and communicate findings as necessary.
  • Translate directives into actionable tasks and monitor their progress for reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity defense personnel to validate network alerts and synchronize responses.
  • Deliver weekly summaries of network events and activities pertinent to cybersecurity defense operations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 5 years in a Defensive Cyber Operations capacity, ideally within a defense context.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, and Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Relevant Certifications:
  • Certifications such as CySA+, CBROPS, CFR, FITSP-O, GCIA, GDSA, GICSP, GCFA are preferred.

Optional Certifications:
  • CNDSP, CISSP, CEH, GFACT, GISF, Cloud+, GCED, PenTest, CompTIA Security+
