Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Coordinator to join our team at Loyola University Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical oversight for all Point of Care Testing (POCT) across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and procedures to maintain licensure and accreditation status for POCT.
  • Point-of-Care Performance: Establish and maintain appropriate POCT procedures throughout all phases of specimen handling, testing, resulting, and reporting.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in the preparation of testing procedures, provide regulatory updates, and initiate procedure updates to meet accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
  • Provider Support: Evaluate and recommend new instruments, products, procedures, and methods, and participate in validation and verification efforts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Medical Laboratory Science Program.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience.
  • Certifications: Certified Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or specialty certificate (ASCP or AMT).
