Job Summary:


We are seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our Solar group, responsible for overseeing environmental management efforts for Civil, Solar, Wind, and High Voltage Transmission Groups' projects throughout North America.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement environmental programs for project sites, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Review and approve environmental submittals, attend preconstruction and preparatory meetings, and provide guidance on environmental matters.
  • Lead environmental orientation and training programs, and conduct work site environmental inspections to ensure best management practices.
  • Collaborate with customers on regulatory reporting and documentation requirements, and maintain operational knowledge of environmental issues in construction.
  • Interface with customer's environmental personnel, environmental consultants, regulatory representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of company-wide Environmental Management supportive programs.

Requirements:



  • Minimum of four years of experience in environmental management, with significant experience in areas such as erosion prevention and sediment control, storm water pollution prevention plans, spill prevention controls and countermeasures, wetlands, and endangered species.
  • Strong understanding of Federal, State, Provincial, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to interact with consultants and governmental agencies, and use PC, tablets, and widely used software packages.
  • Current driver's license and ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in geology, environmental management, environmental science, biology, or related field.
